Vdubo is an extension for Chromium kernel browsers (including Chrome, Edge, etc.) that provides online dubbing for video sites based on user-specified languages. The currently supported site is YouTube.
For everyday use, the Vdubo control icon appears below the YouTube video being watched. Members can click on the control icon at any time to initiate dubbing.

Click here to open a page for Vdubo in the Chrome App Store.
Click the "Add to Chrome" button on the page and make sure it is running in the background.
For mobile users, since Chrome does not support extension apps, it is recommended to use a browser that supports extension apps such as Lemur, Kiwi, Yandex, etc. to support the setup and operation of the extension.

Select the Extension Manager function in your browser and place the extension icon in your browser toolbar to adjust the settings on a daily basis. Some browsers cannot fix extensions and must be adjusted using the respective extension management function.
When watching a YouTube video, there is a control icon in the lower portion of the video. The initial-state icon is red, indicating that it is in an un-dubbed state. Members can click on the icon at any time to initiate dubbing.

Users register and log in with a valid email. After successful login, you can become a free user and use the dubbing function once a day for free.
By subscribing as a member, you have unlimited access to the dubbing feature for videos that already have subtitles. For videos without subtitles, or with unsatisfactory subtitle content, members can use the voice transcription function to generate Lv1 subtitles, but they need to pay points for voice transcription and translation.

This software defines subtitles simply as three types of subtitles. Lv3 subtitles: automatically machine-generated subtitles in videos on the YouTube website. Lv2 subtitles: manually generated subtitles by YouTube video authors. Lv1 subtitles: subtitles generated by transcribing and translating the audio by this extension software. Users can receive a notification via email when subtitles are generated.
The software prioritizes the use of Lv2 subtitles when Lv2 and Lv3 subtitles co-exist. Members can set up a preference to use the Lv1 subtitles.

In the extended pop-up window, there is information about the current user, and you can also set the dubbing language, dubber, and volume.
Volume settings are effective immediately. Other settings must be refreshed for the page to take effect.
The links in pricing page allows you to purchase membership, or points (for additional costs such as voice transcription, translation, and commercial dubbing).

The expansion icon in the lower part of the video is initially red. When a member clicks on the icon, the video is paused for a few seconds, and during the pause, the icon is yellow.
When the subtitles and dubbed audio are ready, the icon turns green. The video then starts to play, with synchronized subtitles and dubbing playing at the same time.
While the video is playing, the software will continue to receive subsequent dubbed audio data until all are received.

To become a member, you need to pay the membership subscription fee on a monthly or yearly basis. Click on the extension icon in the toolbar and there is a payment link in the pop-up window.
If members want to use the commercial dubbing service API, they need to pay extra. For videos that do not yet have Lv1 subtitles, if members want to generate Lv1 subtitles and dub them, they will use features such as voice transcription and translation, and these will require additional fees. These fees will be deducted from the points. So members have to purchase points beforehand.
